A holiday by the lake is the ideal opportunity to relax in the sun - Or perhaps to go cycling, boating, or hiking. What about wellness and beauty? The list of things to do here is endless. If you don't believe us, then take a look at this excerpt from our weekly summer activities programmme.

And that's not all! You could take out a rowing boat and go on a discovery tour of Lake Fuschl, enjoy a boat trip on the wooden passenger boat the "Fuschlerin", go on a walk round Lake Fuschlsee and enjoy a quick dip in the crystal clear waters at one of the many secluded coves along the way. The hotel's own private Lakeside beach garden gives our guests exclusive access to the lake and there are plenty of comfortable sun loungers to relax on after your swim. The water in the lake is so clean, you could drink it. But of course you don't have to! A wide range of delicious drinks are served in the Waldhof restaurants to accompany the excellent meals - freshly-caught fish from Lake Fuschlsee being just one of them.

All aboard! For a beautifully tranquil adventure. The lady we would like to introduce you to is the "Fuschlerin" and is a wooden boat traditional to the Salzkammergut Lake District. No motor boats are allowed on Lake Fuschl, but don't worry you won't have to row! The Fuschlerin is powered by an electric outboard motor. She departs from the lake-side promenade in front of the Waldhof and glides almost silently over the tiny waves to a special destination at the far end of the lake: the Castle Fuschl Fishery where you can enjoy freshly smoked Lake Fuschl char - a true speciality of the region.
