Traces of a great history around the Rössl
The peasant village of Lichtenberg located between the medieval cities of
Glurns and Prad (right at the entrance to the Stilfserjoch-Passstraße) is overtopped by the majestic castle
ruins of the same name. As the most extensive castle ruins in South Tyrol, they
dominate the Vinschger Tal (Vinschger Valley) in a contest with the also
imposing and best-preserved castle of South Tyrol, the Churburg directly
opposite. A beautiful view from the sunny terrace of the Rössl.
