Guest Lounge

A central meeting place where locals drop in for a regular glass of wine. The relaxed atmosphere creates an ideal place for our guests to experience real South Tyrolean hospitality. An aperitif at the bar, Soul & Blues playing in the background. Here many a sporting day has come to an end with a last espresso and soft piano tunes. 
Reading Room: At the Goldene Rose we are not only about health and fitness. Take time to relax at the open fire with a gripping book and the daily newspaper, enjoy a social game of cards over a glass of wine or try to master our antique game of bowles. Give your mind and soul a break.

Catering

We welcome everybody in our restaurant, whether hotel guest or not.
Food and Wine: Delicious meals require good South Tyrolean products. We support local South Tyrolean suppliers, grow organic vegetables in our garden and prepare everything with care. A selection of South Tyrolean vintage wines is stored in our wine cellar. 
Ö like Knödel: Knoedel have been the traditional dish in the Alpine region for decades. We present Knoedel in an innovative and cosmopolitan way. Prepare yourself for a world of new flavours and try our Knoedel-Degustation-Menu.

Distinguished Cuisine
Our guesthouse is listed in the Gault Millau Guide and the Accademia della Cucina Italiana has chosen one of our refined Knoedel recipes for their Europe Guide.

Tried and proved: our rooms are furnished with fragrant pine in a traditional style. Elegant larch furniture lends a modern touch to some rooms. SAT TV, telephone and often an own balcony add to the comfort of our hotel. White marble from Cararra and sometimes fashionable wooden basins will ensure a deluxe bath experience.
Each room has its individual style. You can choose between three categories from our 22 different rooms: Mallow Room, Clove Room and Rose Room. 

Rose Room: Soft, fluffy bathrobes and stunning views: for those who love a bit of luxury the spacious Rose Rooms provide extra comfort.
Clove Room: Enjoy the unique mountain panorama from the Clove Rooms. 
Mallow Room: Small, but cozy. You can sense the love and care put into decorating the Mallow Rooms.

Convivial evenings in front of a warm fire and with good company - can you imagine anything better after an exhausting ski tour?
Long summer days and barbecues: there is a grill, which can be used at any time, in the garden. We supply wood and the necessary equipment.

Lounge and Kitchen: Rays of sunlight and a beautiful alpine panorama greet you in the mornings. The spacious design of the living areas and the wooden interiors create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Get comfortable infront of a crackling fire and enjoy the long winter evenings after a day of skiing. We supply fire wood - chopped and ready to be used. The open-plan kitchens are fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, a fridge, a sink and hotplates for cooking.
Bedrooms: Surrounded by the sweet scent of fresh cedar wood and a warm down duvet you will sleep like a princess. Take a look out of the window and prepare yourself for the Schnalstal mountainworld. 
Bathroom: All the bathrooms are fitted with white marble from Carrara and naturally we provide towels.

Room facilities: Larch wooden floor, in large part with balcony, phone, TV, white marble in the bathrooms, bathrobe, hairdryer, make-up mirror, cosmetic products, water jug with original spring water from Schnals. Lockers at the front desk, W-Lan

Dogs: Please inquire about dogs, dog blanket requested, € 7,00 per day without food. Dogs are not allowed in the dining rooms and in the "Lesestube".

The "Hotel Goldene Rose" is located on the Medieval Vinschgau Route. 

Getting to the Schnalstal Valley:
Highway exit Bozen South. Take the newly build highway to Meran. Follow this road towards Reschenpass. Turn off into the Schnalstal Valley after about 15 km.
